PBS Appalachia stands with the communities in our region that have been
impacted by flooding related to Hurricane Helene.

We visited the hard-hit town of Damascus to document some of the damage there.

In Damascus, those interested in volunteering to help with the clean-up can sign up at 744 N. Beaver Dam Ave.

If you are in need of help or want to help, our friends at Cardinal News have compiled a list of organizations working to provide aid throughout the region.

In addition, these organizations are coordinating volunteer relief efforts:

United Way of Southwest Virginia

St. Marys Health Wagon

American Red Cross of Virginia

Giles County Disaster Relief
