Zach Choate, Corporate Support Executive
Zach, a true Appalachian at heart, was raised in Southern West Virginia but made the move to Southwest Virginia in 2011. Throughout his professional journey, Zach primarily focused on sales and management within the private Medicare insurance industry, catering to the needs of Southwest Virginia and the broader Appalachian region. It was during this time that he developed a deep admiration for the people who call this remarkable area home.
Driven by his passion for the communities of Appalachia, Zach sought a new way to serve and contribute. This led him to join the PBS Appalachia team, where he now works diligently to empower the residents of Appalachia to share their unique stories. Zach firmly believes in the power of storytelling and recognizes that the voices and experiences of those within the region deserve to be heard and celebrated.
Through his involvement with PBS Appalachia, Zach not only embraces his own Appalachian roots but also seeks to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage and diverse perspectives found within the communities he serves. His unwavering commitment to uplifting the voices of Appalachia is a testament to his genuine love for the region and his desire to make a positive impact on its residents.
