Sara Muncy, Producer/Editor
Sara Muncy is a Producer and Editor with PBS Appalachia, bringing a wealth of experience in photography, videography, writing, storytelling, graphic design, and marketing.
Before joining our team, Sara began her professional creative journey through co-ownership of a small marketing firm in North Carolina that she operates alongside her husband, Cliff. Through that work, she develops and maintains brand identities that help small business owners and organizations tell their story; stories that serve and connect with the local community.
Sara specializes in creating high-quality visual assets through photography, videography, and copywriting, with a keen eye for detail, resulting in captivating and visually appealing images. Proficient in storytelling and narrative development, Sara is happiest when she is conducting research on diverse topics and developing original and engaging content that tells authentic stories of Southwest Virginia.
Her collaborative approach is right at home with the production team of PBS Appalachia and our commitment to high-quality work that amplifies the voice of Southwest Virginia, while preserving our Appalachian culture and heritage.
Beyond her professional passions, Sara is an aficionado of old things and an ardent collector of experiences and vintage toys from the 80s. She also enjoys urban exploration and will almost always make a U-turn to explore an abandoned building. Sara cherishes her marriage to Cliff and is a proud Aunt to a horde of marvelous nieces and nephews.
